Hi, I'm Janine - maker, designer, and heart behind Studio Rogue.

I'm a born and raised Saskatchewan girl who moved to Alberta in my early twenties to be with my now husband, Ryan. Together we have two amazing kids alongside our lovable doodle.

Creativity has always been part of who I am. I have always loved transforming simple materials into meaningful pieces you will be proud to wear every day. 

Studio Rogue began from a very personal need. My daughter and I both have sensitive ears and allergies to metals. Finding earrings we could comfortably wear felt nearly impossible. So I started making our own. Lightweight, hypoallergenic pieces designed to be beautiful and wearable. What began as a solution for us grew into something I wanted to share with others who have struggled the same way.

Over the past few years, life took an unexpected turn when I became seriously ill. Unfortunately, one of the things that happened was I lost complete hearing in both ears. Going from hearing all my life to hearing nothing was a struggle. Having such amazing support from family and friends made it easier to navigate. With the help of a cochlear implant on one side, I can now hear again. It's definitely not the same and I still struggle to understand. But I will take it. During that time of uncertainty, creating whenever I was able to kept me grounded, gave me purpose, and reminded me of who I am.

Each piece is thoughtfully designed, and finished with care. My hope is simple: create pieces that feel good to wear and even better to own.
